DAC is partnering with the Deafhood Foundation to bring you two exciting workshop opportunities!
If you’re an interpreter or interpreting student, join us for “Allies in Deafhood” on January 24th from 10am-5pm at Deaf Action Center. This workshop will equip you to become a stronger ally for the Deaf community by examining the concepts of deafness, Colonialism, and Audism and their effects on Deaf culture as well as answer the essential question “What does it mean to be an ally?”

“A Journey Into Deafhood” workshop will take place on January 25th from 10am-5pm at Deaf Action Center and is open to Deaf participants only. The purpose of this workshop is to examine the meaning of “DEAF” and the evolution of Deaf identity over the course of the last century. We’ll also discuss the “Deafhood Vision” and how you can contribute!
